Since I rolled with the Confessor class to start, I figured I'd go with the whole "former church spy" background. Given that the tarnished all had some fall from grace, I thought my character (also named swamp rabbit) would originally try to get back into the good graces of the Golden Order. Having met Ranni and heard her out, though, he's started to have the veil lifted from his eyes...
